Cats....I love them to death, but sometimes....well, they make me want to drink a beer at 8 in the morning.

Bronte, my dear old tortie girl of 16, has a thing for my tea mugs, insists on head butting them.  Always has.  I know this.  So, why do I leave a mug of tea out on the counter near where she plants herself each day?  Oh yeah, I'm having a ( Read more... )

Heheheh.... naughty kitten. I'm glad she didn't get burned this time! Cats have such weird things they do... mine eats tape no matter how many times he barfs it up later.

That's weird about the tape....my cat Dickens ate some just the other day, and not ten minutes later, up it came! bleh! But, I'd rather it came back out than cause a problem. Now, what makes them eat it in the first place, is anyone's guess. lol!

awwww, now you've completely ruined my image of you, sitting there in your cottage by the sea, cold wind blowing outside, sitting in your studio sipping a mug of hot steamy tea. ah well. :-)

Torties? I love them! And Bronte, silly sweet girl that she is. I can still picture her at the Humane Society oh so many years ago, skinny flea-bitten little kitten, desperately reaching through the cage bars at me. I was a goner. She's been such a fixture in our lives, and been through a lot with us. Still doing pretty darned well at 16+ years old, I hope we have her for many years to come, even though she does like to knock over my tea mugs. :-)

At least she doesn't steal my pencils.

oh, ok. A mug of some hot beverage, that works. Or, maybe just the shot of scotch. :-D

Nemo, hehe, I love that cat. Maybe he and Pablo can share where their stash of pencils are....

Does she drink the tea, or just knock over the cup?
My old Spanky cat would do the same thing with water glasses.
He'd knock them over on purpose, and then sulk if you raised a voice to him.

No, Bronte isn't interested in the tea. Just likes to rub on the mug.

I can just picture Spanky after knocking over the water glass. "whaaaat?? geez, I can't have any fun...."

lol

lol, I'm glad to hear from you! And Bronte sends some head-butts your way (you're not holding a hot mug of coffee, are you??) She's such a dear old girl, really. Happiest when I'm carrying her around, she's always been a hugger. :-)
