Work has been hell these past few weeks. Everyone’s been on edge and stressing out. The game is shipping with way more graphical bugs and fuck ups than I wanted it to and they even threatened to fire me at one point.
I know I’m not the best artist, but I wish I could get a little more respect at work.
Some good news, I’m working on an RPG for the next few weeks and that’s fun, I guess. It's like all my nerdy boyhood fantasies come true.
I had turpentine poisoning a few weeks ago. It was awful. I was in bed for two days, had the worst headache of my life and the room kept getting bigger and smaller and spinning around. It felt like every bad drug experience I’ve ever had all rolled into one, with a cold tacked onto it. What happened is that Charlotte and I had decided to paint a picture on a giant piece of wood in my living room. Like an idiot I left a small canister of turpentine open, closed all the doors and went to sleep. I woke on the next day very sick.
I’ve been playing a few new videogames, mainly Mario kart ds, which is kicks ass, but I’ve also been playing shadow of the colossus. this game is really cool and I think done by the same team that worked on ico. Basically, you ride around on a horse and climb up giant monster and kill them by stabbing their special areas. I love it.
Also, I’m going to get animal crossing ds tomorrow since everyone I work with is playing it. I can’t wait to make my own textures and send dirty messages to other peoples towns.
Here’s a painting I did this Monday. I had 3 hours to work on it but I left and got dinner half way through the painting class so I didn’t really finish what I wanted to do.
