Pickles' Surprise

Once, when I was traveling in Jakarta, I came across the strangest sight.

It started with the fourteen elephants, working together to balance a disco ball on top of the Illuminati Pyramid. Then, much to my horror, they turned to me and beckoned: "Come, come, come to us, Mr. Pickles aubergines and purple lintsauce celebration time! Come, come..." their chant repeated as they slowly walked backwards, forelegs motioning as if beckoning me to follow...

I wasn't doing anything important at the moment, so I set my baby down on a bench and began to follow. After many hours of following them and not having seen a thing, it occurred to me that I had been tricked! And on top of it all, the elephants had vanished into the rosegarden up ahead, and I lost them!

There were other men there, and several of them also had backpacks filled with diapers and bottles... We all turned as one when we heard the sudden, desperate wailing of fourteen abducted babies being carried into the horizon by flocks of ravenous winged circus monkeys.

As much as I wanted to follow the terrified cries, I couldn't help but stretch my newly-formed trunk in eagerness and began to head towards the peanut grove. I crushed the backpacks beneath me as my thirteen fellows and I rushed to sustenance.

When we reached the grove, friendly clowns covered us in harnesses and colourful blankets and fed us delicious peanuts. I trumpeted with joy as I saw a large, shaggy green-skinned man join us. "All hail Mr. Pickles!" we cried in unison.

Mr. Pickles carried a large basket to us. "Pickles' Surprise!" he shouted, presenting the fat, stout aubergines. Slurping up the purple lintsauce, we stumbled away as if inebriated.

Hours later we came across a pyramid-like structure with an eye on it. Still groggy with excitement, we began rolling a disco-ball up the steep slope. The ball kept falling off the pointy tip of the pyramid, and as we turned to pick it up for the third time, we noticed a man carrying a baby, watching us.

As if by instinct, we turned to him and began to chant, "Come, come, come to us..."
