Firstly, happy super special awesome birthday times to
floweryinfinity!! <3 May a hundred cupcakes land on your kitchen table to bring you sweetness and yummies! *wishful thinking*
Now that I'm done with scheduling, it's time for something completely different.
This arrived in the mail today, which is the PVC figure for Grell from Kuroshitsuji. I think I had the pre-realizations of seriously liking Grell when I first saw the figure available, which
floweryinfinity got to endure briefly, haha.
I think the pose/overall posture is really amusing somehow, but it all suits his girly factor.
It appears my camera does a better job when I have flash going. In summary, I really am pleased with this figure! It captures Grell very well and is overall very cool.
I took my chance and ordered one of the trading straps for Project Diva. As luck would have it, I got this one, which is Miku in her Dancer outfit, being one of my favorites~! I like the Dancer outfit because I felt it was a bit unfair for Miku to have random panty shots and it's only a slight variation of her regular outfit, haha.
When I mentioned random ancient artwork, it's because today, I came across one of my older sketchbooks. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any dates, so I can't quite figure out when exactly it was from. However, it contains nearly all of my alien characters sketched out in there, along with my old "Psychics" story (from either late middle school or early high school) roughs, back when I sucked profusely at drawing humans and decent proportions on anything, haha.
I was going to include some samples here of my favorites from the old sketchbook, but the more I saw, the less I felt confident doing so, so instead, here's another old piece of art I did (a minimum of 13 years old, if not older!) that's been on the wall for at least that long:
Old group of characters. I've redrawn Vega previously, but I hadn't shown the other three before. From left to right, we have Luz, Vega, Ash, and Night. Vega and Ash were similar in that they both held certain entities inside them (Luz in Vega, and Night in Ash), but they were on opposing sides in my old story.
Ironically, I never even touched upon any light vs. darkness stuff in the story! They all just had different backgrounds that affected where they were, that's about it. I think this was one of my only works with the four in one shot. I rarely focused on Vega vs. Ash or anything similar because Ash wasn't even a real antagonist, haha.
Major late start to the day! I'm so behind on my original plans that I'm not sure if I can actually get to them tonight anymore. At least now I should have all my major supplies I was trying to get since last month. Back to art, back to art, before I get even more delayed.
