What is Cloverfield?
For those of you who live under a rock and didn't see the most awesome movie EVAH!!! You're really missing out... But not because of the film itself but because of a little known project from JJ Abrams (better known as the guy who brought Alias to light and the one who may or may not save the Star Trek franchise). The concept is pure genius. Sure the naysayers will say that it's simply a more glorified Blair Witch Project with it's use of hand-held cameras to tell the story, but the two simply cannot compare. What little you do see makes me want to see more.
It's the kind of low budget experience that will definitely leave a lasting impression and prove that you don't have to resort to a guy in a rubber suit to level New York City...
EDIT: The trailer has been officially posted on Apple's Quicktime website with the pretentious title of 01-18-08. It looks even better the 2nd or 3rd time around.
