Reid sat on the porch swing as he watched it downpour all around him.

'Well, there goes any plans of a picnic,' he thought to himself. He smiled slightly as he drank his coffee for picnics weren't really his idea of fun.

Hotch came outside and sat down next to Reid causing the swing to fall back.

"I don't think it's ever going to stop raining," he muttered.

"Don't be so dramatic," Reid scolded. "It could stop in awhile."

"But we still won't be able to do the picnic. The ground will be wet."

Reid wasn't about to admit he was glad because Hotch has been excited for this all week. Suddenly, Reid had an idea.

"Don't move," he said as he bolted inside. He came back out with an old blanket and the food they had packed.

"Spencer, we can't..." Hotch said but stopped when Reid spread the blanket on the porch floor.

"See. We can still have our picnic."

Hotch stood up and joined Reid on the blanket. He learned over and kissed him softely. "Thank you."

Nate tried to ignore Monica Davenport as she sat on the counter watching him prepare her body for embalming. Once again, he was questioning why he got involved with the family business.

"It's because you had to please your dead father," Monica said.

"What do you know?" Nate spat. "You're dead."

"So is your father. What do you have to prove to him?"

"I am not doing this for him. I am doing it for myself."

"Why? So you feel like you actually did something in your life before you end up on that table?"

"I'm helping people at the worst time in their life," Nate rationalized.

"Oh please. My cousin hated me," Monica said. "She bought the cheapest, shittiest coffin and one vase of flowers. Oh, and the service is private and lasts an hour."

"Well, I helped pick out the shitty coffin."

"You could have fucking helped me instead!"

Nate dropped the needle and stood up. "How, huh? You want me to be a superhero instead of a funeral director?"

Monica laughed. "You couldn't pull off the tights, sweetheart."

"We all will die eventually," Nate said as he went back to working.

"Speaking of that... how's your head?"

"Nate? Are you okay?" David was waving his hand in front of Nate's face. "How's your head? You look pale."

Nate glanced over his shoulder and Monica was gone. "Oh, I'm fine. Must have spaced out."

"Hey, when you're done with Miss Davenport, why don't you go upstairs and lay down."

"No, I"m alright. Hey David?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you ever feel like the people's spirits are still in the room?"

"Nate, did you take ecstacy again?"

"Nevermind," Nate muttered as Monica reappeared and started laughing.

"You need to get your head checked Nate," she said.

"I know what's wrong."

"What?" David asked.

"Oh, I said I know what's wrong. I, uh, forgot my medication."

"Well, you better take some."

"You can prevent your death unlike mine," Monica said. "Be a superhero Nate."
