(no subject)
In the Cracked.com comments section, I never look at the name of the commenters, just at their teeeeny little profile pictures that have speech bubbles coming out of them, as if the profile picture is a cartoon character leaving their comment for them. Which is probably why I just cracked up when I read a particularly douchetastic comment, looked down, and saw that the profile pic was an itsy-bitsy little Confederate flag. Because, let's be honest, if a teeny tiny Confederate flag became an anthropomorphic cartoon character, it would just go around being a giant dick on the internet. I would be perfectly content to imagine every asshole comment left on every blog as being spoken by a miniature Confederate flag.
(This particular one was talking about Axl Rose's sissy hair.)
Other interesting things gleaned from Cracked.com and relating to androgynous rock stars: Did you all know that the Rolling Stones' "Angie" was allegedly written by Jagger not so much as a melancholy ballad but as a song to tell David Bowie's wife Angela to buck up after she caught him and Bowie in bed naked together? Allegedly as in "according to Angela" and my eyes after seeing the following picture?
