I forgot to tell you, but I passed the prof. test in Japanese that I needed to pass to take the interpreting program...as expected, I am bordering on the "advanced low" and "intermediate high" in my spoken Japanese. I was graded by a native Japanese speaker, a university teacher in Philadelphia (which, according to him, isn't as safe as you'd expect! Para-chan, does that surprise you? ^^).

...but I'm not comfortable enough in my own skills to take the class, so I'm going to study more and return to the program in a year or two, with everything I can possibly bring to the table, so to speak. I think it'd be better for my individual confidence to think to myself, "you didn't just barely get into this class, you have just as much right as anyone else to be here." ^^ isn't it a nice thought?

So! I'll be needing to get a teacher, or exchange again or...something. Then I can answer my relatives clearly, "yes, I consider myself fluent," rather than, "define fluency." ^^ haha.

That, and I have no money to pay for the class. *Snrk* it's all I can do to pay for the general classes...haha, this is the major reason why I'm not taking it. The other is just to make me
feel better about being poor. Hah.

Okay, tired. 'night, all.
