A few random things:
1. I am currently wearing what may be the most comfortable pants evah, even though they're made of a material I usually shun because unnatural fibers can make my skin crawl. However, in this case I make an exception because:
a) The afore-mentioned comfy factor.
b)
squarelife said they make my butt look nice.
c) They were on sale for $13.
The only real problem with them is that they're all OMGANKLEFLAREANKLEFLARE which I hate with 70's-scarred passion. Ask anyone who knows me - ALL the pants I wear are tapered, and I have every intention of getting these altered to comply with my will. Yes, I will pay money to have $13 pants altered, do you see something odd about that? ;-)
For today, I'm wearing them tucked into my black boots, which doesn't work nearly as well as I hoped. I'm constantly tucking them back in because they're climbing out and trying to be pirate pants (not that I really mind, but the rest of my outfit doesn't support a pirate motif, and these things are black with white pinstripes.)
2. The button I'm wearing today, in special honor of people who post fanfic and fanart to any number of communities: "Never apologize for your art."
Really, so much of what I see starts off with "I'm sorry, I know this isn't very good, blah blah blah." If you don't think it's good, wait to post it until you've edited it to your satisfaction. Thank you and good night.
3. I've found a new blog to read on a regular basis. It only began at the end of December, so I don't know yet if the author will have staying power, but I'm enjoying it so far.
don't eat alone is written by someone who is a pastor AND a chef! How great is that? Interesting discussions and food, all at the same time! Recipes too, and I have every intention of trying the
three potato au gratin.
4. It's
mah seester's burfday on Friday, and we're discussing where she wants to go for supper. If we do end up at Dave&Buster's, I know exactly what I'm having, and I want to recreate it at home:
Havarti Cheese & Pesto Panino
An Italian grilled sandwich filled with Havarti cheese, basil pesto, tomato and arugula. Served with your choice of French fries or pesto pasta salad.
Awwww yeeeeah. (Though I'd rather have a side of fresh fruit or a spinach salad.)
5. Why won't Blizzard just give us the release date for
Burning Crusade> already? I'm dying to make a Blood Elf Jewelcrafter! Ellsie and Errl are 58 at this point, and while I'd like to have some time to play them at level 60 and experience high end content, I'm also ready for new zones and a new tradeskill. I capped cooking and skinning ages ago, and have recently capped leatherworking. Being limited on tradeskills in WoW is already not what I'm used to (I had every tradeskill leveled to almost 200 in EQ when I quit playing) so I'm ready for something new to level up.
