Project update:
Nations are partially done. I've started writeups on a couple, but nothing sufficient to post. I'm trying to include some notable details such as examples of animals, people, and places as well as the usual general details.
Races have been conceptualized. I don't have much more past a couple sentences for each and a "feel" for each one. Some, I've got a better feel for than others. I need to do longer writeups for those. Eventually, I will also need to put together their mechanical aspects. Right now, I've got twenty. No humans, elves, dwarves or furries. Well, the near sociopathic highly egoistic carniverous chipmunk people technically have fur.
I think the races are still my weakpoint and need the most work.
Each of the Orders of Magic has been assigned an area/race. I need to slightly alter a couple of those to fit the setting(and possibly the mechanics) better. I also need to come up with various targets of invocation(basically, gods/demons/spirits you can ask for power). I've thought of adding in another order, but for the life of me, I can't think of something that isn't already covered. Any suggestions would be highly welcome.
I think I want to finish up the setting first, before I start working on the crunch.
Crunch, depending on how I do it, could take up a great deal of time. I might still do the mishmash, but part of me wants to make this publishable. Publishable would mean my own core system, most likely. None of the open systems that I have seen so far fit. It may only be a pipedream, but dreams are nice to chase.
