mOKARMus2005: and dammit hedman, update ur friggin journal
I haven't been much for writing lately. April ended on May 10 and I just haven't really felt like updating after that point. Decided to maybe insert some text on a short entry, so here goes.
ROTC Awards Ceremony on the 12th. Got a lot more than I had expected. Superior Cadet two years in a row, plus some academic awards, despite the fact I have a D- in calculus. Got a nice plaque to put up on my wall: Distinguished Military Graduate Award. Turned in my uniform the next day, thank god that's over with.
Prom was on Friday the 13th. It was okay, took my best friend Amanda Weyeneth. Her dress was stunning, looked amazing on her. Had a decent time at prom, vice-principal kept blocking though; if you were there, you know what I mean. Afterwards went to the Baisa's house for a little get-together. I remember pissing on everything, talking non-stop, and attempting front flips into the swimming pool. Had a pretty good time I suppose.
Recently, I've been getting into foreign films. So far, my favorite is a French movie called Amelie. It appeared in the US in 2002, but was a huge blockbuster hit in France the year before. Screenplay is amazing and the movie has great artistic value. Only problem was that since there were subtitles, you won't really notice all the tiny details. You have to watch it at least twice to absorb the entire thing. "Love Me If You Dare" was another French film I watched this week; and this movie completely killed my faith in French directors. It's somewhat decent, but I wouldn't reccommend it to anyone, that said, I think I'll watch it one more time to make sure I'm not grading it too critically. The movie has a terribly depressing ending which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever so I think the movie was a complete waste of time. After this disaster, think I'll switch over to Spanish or English movies for a while.

Saturday night consisted of sitting on a bench on main street for about an hour.
This is what I observed. Flocks of people loitered around Subway. Later I climbed on top of the building.
Saw this on the drive home yesterday.
Thought it was worth pulling over to get a decent shot of the sky.
