Or something, anyway. I've survived late December! I baked!* I decorated gingerbread!
*: Once without the benefit of dry measures because intended destination oven was Occupied, Thank You! That was exciting.
To start off, the kits were old (this is fine. I salute the fiscal decision), so the frosting was a bit uncooperative.
Also, I made the mistake of reading the box on the Gingerbread Carousel, because what, and was promptly recruited to help assemble it.
Please examine the box image:
I made a valiant effort with the reindeer (and was nearly accused of dark sorcery by someone who didn't realise we'd raided a second, unused, kit for block-assembly frosting in addition to the line details of doom required by the tiny cookies' printing).
Two of the candycane supports were broken, and the kit instructions said to leave them in their plastic, which got Exciting for a while there in the 'roof keeps trying to slither away' sense. But we triumphed!
.....And then they made us assemble a train kit because we were done. (SO much faster.)
In other news, I wrapped stuff.
I also had a very tiny amount of Violently Green wrapping paper left over after finishing the Doyle collection.
Things may have happened.
