She checked herself twice before she realised the fan kicking on was a recording.
"Human?" She flicked through her eyes, eventually finding him tucked in the back of one of her cargo spaces, cleaning the parts of a gun as he watched a small mirror. She took a still once she did, interested in the contrast between the mirror's light over his face, his shirtfront, and the patch over his eye.
"This is supposed to be unedited footage," he remarked, just before she would have asked what he was up to. "I'm not convinced."
It took a moment to get at the information the mirror was displaying, and in the meantime she opened one of the eyes behind his back. Looked over his shoulder at the mirror, listened to the fan noise kick on again.
" . . Something's off," she agreed after a while, "but it may be a product of copying copies of copies. Where did you find it?"
As he told her, she wondered if he was wondering why she cared. If he knew her answer would be 'because you do' if he asked.

Any idea what's up with the footage? Or why he cares about it at all?

I occasionally think it's inevitable that I have no idea what's going on context-wise for these two. They're very good at giving me [scene], without padding contextual paragraphs, especially with sparks.

Grammont won't tell me how colts happen, but I suspect witches (or at least witches' homes) have something to do with it.
