"what the hell happened to my clothes?!" - Swallow's Tail, Petrovich, HelenataennynAugust 5 2010, 20:16:16 UTC
He groped his heat-blind way carefully out of the banya, searching for the clothes he'd left in the outermost room. His towel was draped over his shoulder, to dry off by his clothes before climbing into them.
But his hand came down on nothing but bench, and after a few minutes searching the area, he scrubbed over his head, face and hair with the towel and looked properly, steam no longer beading in his eyelashes.
Still no clothes.
Knotting the towel around his waist, he shoved the door open and roared up the ladder to the main deck "What the hell happened to my clothes?"
Helena roared back, voice thready with distance "I couldn't tell which pile was supposed to be dirty so I took them both and threw them in the cleaner!"
"I would have thrown the dirty ones in the cleaner once I was dressed! You could have just left them!"
"Well, I didn't," she said conversationally, head appearing at the top of the ladder, and he scowled up at her, hand clenching in the edge of his towel.
"Were you planning to just leave me standing here in a towel while my clothes dried?" he demanded, and made to climb the ladder.
She gave him the deadpan look that meant he wasn't nearly as funny as he thought he was--whether or not he'd been joking in the first place--and dropped a bundle of clothing on his head.
He swore he could hear Sascha's laughter echoing faintly through the pipes.
