I can blame the weekend spent doubletaking at mirrors due to freckles on the fact that that was the weekend I was writing for Isael, and he hasn't got nearly as many as I do. (It's hilarious in retrospect, and a touch disconcerting when it's happening.)
These are all very valid points, yes indeed. ^___^ I want my next one where I can see it, dammit, or at least see it in casual clothing if not work clothing.
[g] See, rather like my Mom who will wear strappy dresses (when she can be forced into a dress at all) with all her arm tats bare, I think I'd *like* to show mine off in formal wear. I do black tribal abstract, anyways, so it's not like there's a skull and crossbones on my bicep.
It can function as an accessory, and very well so. M's Evenstar, for example, is often fully exposed in formalwear, and goshawk's penchant for halter necks matches well with her shoulder pony silhouette.
It's the ones that're half-visible, or that look Silly in the context of formalwear that kind of throw me.
yeeah, i've thought about a lot of the things on the list long and hard, and the one thing that makes me flail a little is that what i want basically *has* to be on my back, and i will not be able to see it. but there is no place where i want it. but i won't be able to see it. argh.
...there will be strategically placed mirrors in my room. *solemn*
assuming i ever settle on the final design, or the person to do it...
Yeah, I know that spin. I've been pondering designs recently, and am running into a ' . . is that going to be cohesive from a distance? Balanced? Formalwear?' problem with one site and ' . . . I'm never going to SEE it, aigh!' with the other.
Yay for mirrors. Lots of chances for mild dysmorphia moments! :D
*nodnod* uhhhhuh. i might also be found staring at amazing_ink a lot. >_>;
*laughing!* i get that to various degrees whenever i look into a mirror anyway. i have no idea what i'm 'supposed' to look like, because it's not actually one of the brains (that i know of), but i'm sure it's a lot smaller, much older, and possibly a bit less female. :>
my bathroom is evil. it has the big whole wall over the counter mirror. and then the mirrored medicine cabinet to the right. tip that open just a bit, and you see yourself from aaaaall different angles, reflected in various mirrors. it's a little disorienting, but it's FUN.
