Notes: post wars, probably mid growth spurt of Doom. (example of a triqueta)

They still try to put her into skirts--if nothing else they're easier to drop hems on than the sturdy trousers she favours--but they don't argue with her about embroidery anymore.

She favours colour on colour work, faded blue atop faded blue, or russet atop russet, and she wears willow branches and triquetas for shapes.

She just grins when people ask her what meanings she ascribes to her needlework, and doesn't answer.

Three-pointed knots. She's often to be found in the company of her elder half-sister and their cousin, and two-and-one make three.

Willow branches, on the other hand, could be interpreted two ways.

Grief, and renewal.

She's never felt the need to explain her embroidery--it's there to be seen.
