Why iTunes?!

Can anyone tell me why? oh why does iTunes has to be updated almost daily everytime apple decides to release a new iPod?!?!
I HATE when they do that I updated a week and a half ago and now I have to update again? why? Why?!?! WHY?!?!?!?!

ETA: Holy mother of what's good and hot in this world!!!! This Josh Holloway pic makes me forgive the update insanity...
