I'm reading Framley Parsonage and identifying with Lucy Robarts like crazy. I, too, cloak myself in self-mocking so much that people around me often doubt whether I am ever serious and whether I mean what I say.

(I am, however, quitre uneasy with reading about Lucy's brother.)
