(no subject)

I am reading Mikhail Vorontsov's bio and thinking about Shakespeare and the Ricardians. Vorontsov, among other things, had been the poet Pushkin's boss for a while, and they disagreed. At some moment. Possibly about Vorontsov's wife. And Pushkin wrote an epigram.

... so then for almost two hundred years Pushkin scholars have been explaining at length that Vorontsov was a nasty, nasty man. And then Vorontsov's biographer, who has 200 years to compensate for, starts proving that his subject was practically a saint and did all he could to help Pushkin.

Historical truth and points of view, same old story. Only with more letters from everybody concerned.

And I have a headache and am too sleepy and have written a drabble that is too weird. And have to go and push at another DS9 episode and at the Woodbine too, if I want to finish it today.

books:historical, actually thinking aloud, writing:finished fics
