Unconscious stream of consciousness

Outside there's the best winter weather possible: not particularly cold, not particularly windy, with fluffy snow on the ground and more snow falling down. Some of the branches of the trees near my window have icicled up.

However, my dog tries to eat snow. I'm sure it can't be good for her.

Also, I think I need a haircut: the length of my bangs (or is it fringe? or is it the difference between British and American) slowly reaches headache-inducing state.

I am very bad about working quickly: my brain just... freezes. I need time to take pauses and to clear my mind. This is one of the reasons I started working offline - with office work, your boss does not care that you need to take pauses to do your job more effectively, she or he just sees that you're not working. Understandable, but terribly inconvenient for me. Freelancing is safer (as for the insecurity of freelancing, right now, with the crisis and all, everybody seems to be insecure).

... and yes, that was the monthly "Why I love my job" affirmation. I do need them, especially after deadlines.

Also, I like washing dishes. I mean, our dishwasher is broken right now, but washing dishes by hand is just the kind of uncomplicated work that can take your mind off things. And I like playing with water, too (and am conservative - I often wash underwear by hand or sew small things by hand).
