I am very resolutely not thinking about the elections on March 2 because when I do, I want to hit my head against the wall. Repeatedly.
I am reading diaries and letters of Violet Bonham Carter. I had no idea of who she was before starting - I just saw the volume in the library and thought it looked interesting. I like reading diaries and memoirs which are more personal than, say, political or something like this, and it's a pity so few of those are available here (especially on such topics as Britain in the first half of 20th century which rather interests me). It's too early to say what I think about Bonham Carter, though - I can't quite get a feeling for her character yet.
(speaking of British history - I am thinking about maybe going to a LARPG set in British India in the middle of 19th century, though costume for that would be a bother. I already have to think about a psi-cop uniform for the Babylon 5 game).
