Apparently if you wake up at 5.48 AM from menstrual pains, embroidering with beads is a good way to distract yourself.

Embroidering is a good way to distract yourself always!
Never have tried it with beads, though... Did you like it?

Yes. I like beads, like touching them, watching them. Somehow it's a better distraction than cross-stitching - maybe because there's a finite number of beads and you can see them, and maybe it works a bit like sunflower seeds (I don't like them, not really, but if I start I can't stop) - you always have to pick up just one more bead.

Anyway, I did that kit in one day. A small kit, but still. I'm a Slow Stitcher usually.

I made a very long necklace of beads once, rather intricate, but I like cross-stitching better... just at present. Don't know why. And it's like sunflower-seeds with me, too! Another cross, just one more... and more... :))
I had a black dress once, its front all embroidered with black beads. It was so beautiful!

I want to try making bracelets, but I just do not dare to try. Not yet. I'm bad at trying new things.

Cross-stitching is like my main choice even if I want something else to try now and then. (Do you know what a rash thing I did? ;) I promised stitched New Year presents to first five people on my diary who'd ask.) I finished that "Teatime" sampler, by the way, do you remember me showing it to you?
