Slightly incoherent worries and wondering

Stumbled upon a rumour that the Russian LJ sector is to be sold to a Russian company. Nobody quite knows what that will involve. And how will "russianness" be defined? It's declared to be mostly for advertising purposes so they say it'll be directed at Cyrillic-text journals, but I wonder... If I change my profile info and take the location off, can my LJ be identified as Russian? Because they also say that the journals will still be located at US servers but I can't help worrying about LJ security. Our government has long stated that Internet should be regulated and people shouldn't just write whatever they want to...

Probably I'm worrying over nothing, but... Yes, my LJ is open and I don't want to lock it. And yes, I doubt someone watches over it right now (except my flist ;)) But if it will be identified as Russian and come under Russian control... (and yes, there are journals out there that could expect much more trouble from government. But still.)
