Hello everyone and greetings from Iraq. I am doing well and looking forward to R&R in a little over a month. To update You all my hand is well, I broke it after being hit with a sledgehammer on a mission. I am back from Baghdad and am in fairly good spirits. I am having a difficult time planning out this Japan trip and hope to find some help soon.

i had a door blow shut on my hand the other day and i was whining about that - i can't imagine having my hand broken by a sledgehammer!!! i hope you're healing well.

it's totally understandable that you'd want to go home after being in baghdad. it would probably be really nice to have a piece of home. can you plan a layover in your hometown? or will you be traveling the opposite way from home? whatever you choose, have a blast!

Thanks for the well wishes. I would like to go home but due to time constraints of international flying and having to leave back to Iraq from where they send me it would just take up too much time. I live in Phoenix so it is bit outta the way. But in positive news my family is going to come to japan for a part of my leave to spend with me.
