Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

Hi, I also have schizophrenia and I am a christian. In my spiritual seeking, I often had trouble with voices that spoke to me and who nearly all loved to pretend to be God. Recently I remembered these verses of the bible, and applied them, ie I asked the voices to acknowledge what John writes about here, that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. The result was very good, this verse is really a good filter if you apply it too. The very most of my voices couldn't acknowledge this, and so they lost their power over me. And every spirit who does acknowledge this never makes any trouble, ie they're righteous, so to speak, they are of God and speak His truth.
Maybe this helps you too. I found it immensely relieving to know truth from falsehood, the righteous messenger from the liar.
