It's been a while since last post, so here we go...
I just got internets back on the laptop. Dustin had to go out and get an adapter because apparently, this particular model of portable fun has issues with the wireless card konking out.
Ah well.
Other than that, my days have mostly been filled with running the house and making stuff, either to sell at events, for friends, or repairing my own stuff (which was more labor intensive that I originally thought). The upside to that is, that I now have a better understanding of how the Turkish coat pattern works and so making a few to sell at events should be fairly easy. I'm just not looking forward to hand sewing all the damn hooks on.
On a sad note, we might not be able to make it to summer hunt this year, which I'm really hoping isn't the case. It's the only vent I'll be able to go to this season and I was really looking forward to doing a bit of riding and prancing about in my newly repaired garb. It all comes down to finding a ride for our horses, Jack and Mercury. Otherwise, I think we'll just go camping.
On a happy note, Aurelia got her first tooth in! Now the weaning begins! She's been super happy lately and that makes me happy. I'm guessing she's not having too many teething pains lately.
Sam's also getting one step closer to coming home. He's getting moved up to Woodinville from Oly soon. The Ashely house has been treating him as if he's a CPS placement and anything we as parents say is falling on deaf ears. Until of course we told them that we're taking him out. Now they're willing to bend over backwards for us. Big surprise there. But I suppose I shouldn't blame them too much. They do get around 40 grand per month per child they have staying there. Le Sigh.
As far as leisure time goes, I've been reading the Legacy of the Drow. I've already been through the Dark Elf trilogy and the Icewind Dale trilogy. And to be quite frank, while I am enjoying these books, I'm not quite sure what everyone is (was) jizzing their pants over about this stuff. Although I think what interests me the most are the Drow politics.
Also, it looks like I'll have an ebay store set up soon. So that will be good. Any extra cash is much needed. That, and I prefer to make stuff as it's ordered as opposed to waiting for it to sell at an event.
