Why doesn't the universe want me to play Oblivion???
OK, after a bunch of my friends gushed unrelentingly, I grabbed a copy of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion on Sunday. Go home to install it, and I don't have a working DVD drive in my computer. Head to the nearest store and get a new one and install the game and do a bit of dinking around to get he feel of things. So Monday I go to play and just after starting the game my computer starts making this hideous screeching sound. Turns out my Chipset fan was going on the fritz and wasn't maintaining a minimum speed (yay for motherboard diagnostic tools). Called Asus and apparently this is a regular problem becasue they didnt' give me any trouble. Just asked for the serial number and where to mail the replacement fan. Should be here on Friday or Sat... Sigh...
