(no subject)
so i am in the house alone tonight.
At least until some of my housemates get back from work in KC.
my other housemate will be home soon, i hope.
Things are slowly starting to normalize again.
Last week was fucking insane.
But by far not the most insane i have experienced.
I did find out that i had a warrant out for my arrest for two weeks and didn't know it.
That sucked.
But it could have been a lot worse i guess.
Mostly it pisses me off that a system can make an error that would send me to jail.
Becasue that's all it was, a paperwork mistake.
Which i had the privledge to fix on the outside with help from my friends.
What if i had gotten arrested...and didn't have any to help me out...or was unable to understand why i had a warrant...or a plethora of other reasons why that situation was fucked.
But i did get it figured out.
There was a bit of gppd news today though...
i start as a full time mechanic at the bike shop here in Lawrence on March 1st.
And i can still go to NCOR, do m19 stuff and go to Chicago.
It;s a slight pay decrease at first so i am going to have to factor that in.
And really nothing will ever really beat my sweet smoothie job as far as downtown slacker work goes.
But i fucking love bikes, and can't wait to get trained up and shit.
They warned me about 5 times that the shop can be kind of boys club...and well they are just gonna have to deal with my hairy legs and constant pestering about language and respect and feminism. I think it will be fine.
So for all who read this...go to NCOR. I will be there with a school bus full of other midwest folks you know and love.
