Here are some pics from the Oaxaca Solidarity Action yesterday. It was the first time i had ever organized an action solely with other women, and it was put together in about 24 hours, so not too shabby.
My emotions about Oaxaca are so all over the place. I was crying so hard the other night, just being so frustrated. Standing outside of the mexican consulate in KC. But then i pulled my shit together. It's a big scary world, and i am very small. But if there is anything i have learned from reading too many fantasy novels as a child, it's that even the smallest of people can make big changes.
ps-i am now, officially the worlds largest dork. But oh well...it helps me get out of bed everyday.
pps-kalila, you better get back to Lawrence soon, making smoothies is not the same without you!
