yes yes! i was able to buy a copy of "manila by night" at mag:net greenbelt 4. there are other films, but the titles escape me. big thanks to tony gloria's film distribution company, UNICO. i hope a lot of other good films come out. i try to collect as many classic pinoy films as i can kasi. this is also why i like staying home saturday and sunday afternoons to catch "ginintuang telon" on qtv. they showcase really old pinoy films from the 50s and 60s. i was lucky enough to catch "beatnik" which starred jose mari gonzales and rod navarro ; and "james batman" starring dolphy, boy alano and bella flores. During each break, the movie is annotated and given a little explanation by the actors. for "beatnik" it was jose mari who did the commentary and for "james batman" it was boy alano. i guess it would also help if abs-cbn, gma and rpn-9 dig up their old umatics/betacams and convert the film library that they have to dvd or vcd. i know abs has a good mike de leon and ishmael bernal collection since these directors are screened ( ... )
