[For those of you accustomed to, you know, anything remotely normal, the little corner of the mansion that's been consumed by the Medicine Seller's imagination may be somewhat unsettling.]

[Then again, if anyone happens to be more accustomed to the laws of physics being sort of sporadic, monsters from the most primal depths of the Japanese collective subconscious brimming from the shadows, and the world looking like a rainbow and several temples' worth of fine art and Eastern religious symbolism exploded onto it and left themselves plastered to every surface and lingering in the air, then I guess they'll be pretty comfortable.]

[The Medicine Seller certainly is, if the calm smile on his face is anything to go by; in fact, for once, his gaudy appearance seems almost subdued in comparison to his surroundings. The air smells faintly of incense, the dark corners of the room swim with secrets, and he just sits in the middle of it. Watching. Waiting.]
