Okay, so last Thursday I went to Lex and Morphy's place for four days. I hadn't gotten the chance to get away from my parents for several weeks now, so this was incredibly refreshing. It was also a little bit of an adventure for me, as I ended up seeing more of Washington than I ever did before. I woke up at 7:00am and departed at 8:00am, about two hours early than I had originally planned on. I just couldn't stand hanging around at my house any longer, especially since I woke up so damn early (for me!).
So I sped outta there, decided to get padded before I left and headed south. It was kinda interesting driving in diapees, of course they weren't particularly thick and at times I forgot I was wearing em. My attention was focused on the road, so it's kinda understandable! XD Around 9:30am I hit the Safeway by Morphy's house to pick up some supplies (a bottle and some baby wipes) I figured I would need in the coming days. 'Was nervous as anything when I was purchasing then, but I gathered my wits just before the register and learned that cashiers really don't think twice about what you buy. Ya just gotta act casual. The occaisional crinkle from underneath my jeans made me anxious, but no one seemed to notice, and they probably wouldn't have been able to associate any crinkling they heard with someone wearing adult diapers. So with that chore accomplished I headed off to my final destination.
Got to Lex and Morphy's around 10am and I immeadiately approached their door and knocked. I waited a few seconds... there was no answer. I knocked again nervously, realizing that I had arrived two hours earlier than we had origionally planned and thus, they were probably all still asleep. I groaned at the prospect of waiting around in my car for an hour or two so I decided that this would be my last knock. I knocked a tad harder than before and when I finished I sensed movement from inside. (insert sigh of relief, then slight dread as I realized that I woke someone up) Grey Fox answered the door, he looked a little tired and agitated, but still greeted me kindly (insert second sigh of relief). I kind of forget the exact order of the next few events, but I'll do my best. I brought my huge, army duffle bag and a few miscellaneous trinkets in, I believe that Grey slumped on his couch in the living room and realized I was padded, so I came over and we snuggled for a little bit. Seemed like he wasn't too flustered about being woken up by my knocking! Grey's a lot bigger than me (I'm also a really skinny guy irl) so I kinda felt like a little kid as I curled up on his stomach. Two other furs were in the room at the time... Slox and someone else whom I had never seen before. I went over to give Slox a long awaited huggle and was soon embraced by the latter person I spoke of earlier. I usually don't get snuggled by complete strangers (was I really that adorable in my Led Zeppelin shirt and blue jeans?) so I queried this new fur's name. It turned out to be none other than Alfador (damn, I didn't know he was THAT cute irl!). I felt a little stupid for not knowing who he was when I first saw him, but that was overshadowed by the pleasure I got from meeting another babyfur. Once he got his tails and his foxie ears on, there was no doubt that I was, in fact, in the presence of the infamous Uberfoxiefluff! After a little more snuggling and showing off my new bottle and plushie, Morphy came out of his room.
As households typically do, activity increased as the afternoon came about. I did a whole lot of cubbing out with Morphy and Alfy. Alfy was kind enough to let me try one of his medium abriforms out, and then there was a little bit more snuggling before we headed off to visit some of their friends in Seattle. The rest of the night consisted of watching a few episodes of an anime known as Dragon Drive. It's a little bit like Pokemon and all those other "dueling monster-type" shows (kid goes into virtual reality, recieves a dragon that is specially matched to his/her DNA code, and fights the other kids and their dragons.) but was still original none-the-less. I enjoyed the show and I absolutely LOVED the main character's dragon, Chibisuke. It also helped a little because the show was "subbed," not "dubbed." I like hearing the Japanese language damnit! We got something to eat, thanked our hosts for letting us hang there for awhile and went home. *blushes* It was a long day and all three cubs, were quite soaked. We got home, got changed, and watched two videos with some really strange cartoons on them before heading off to bed.
The next day was a little bit more relaxed. My good pal Sloxie had to take care of some business and visit his mommy, so he asked if I wanted to come along. I was ready to answer with a resounding "YES" but he still felt the need to add on the tasty lure of food. Nothing changed of course, I just ended up salivating for the duration of the entire ride up there. Slox's mother is really nice, and cooks extremely well. She also seems quite open-minded and clearly loves her son as she watched Kill Bill Vol 1 next to Sloxie and I. All while Slox held me in his arms and I huggled my Zak'nWheezie plushie. On the way back Slox and I talked about possibly making me a yoshi tail... hopefully, by the next time I visit all my furiends, we'll have an idea on what we'll need for it. Agh! I want a yoshi tail! I feel like such an outcast because I don't have one and everyone else does.. (tails according to their species of course). We got home, and everyone basically went out to do some clubbing. Morphy and I were underaged so we had to stay home! ;-;
Of course we didn't have a babyfursitter, so it wasn't all bad! We picked up some supplies and got some "sleeping clothes" on, and basically played for the rest of the night till the older furs got home. Then it was bedtime.
Saturday we went to Seattle for "Pride 2004." I honestly had no clue that it was Pride this weekend, so it was really nice timing that I ended up coming down when I did! I think that my hosts appreciated the extra vehicle I brought with me (7 furs in their car just isn't going to happen folks), plus, it was fun getting some city driving experience anyway. I think that if you can drive comfortably in a city, you can drive comfortably anywhere. Ah! But before we got there one of Morphy's online friends (who just happened to be in Washington visiting relatives) called, and we went and picked him up. The poor guy hadn't had the freedom to get into diapees for awhile, so it felt good to help him out in that respect. He looked even cuter in em anyways! We hung around the park at Seattle for the rest of the day enjoying the festivities and smells, and meeting a plethora of people. Morphy and I took his friend back home and we ended up having another Morphy and Tac night as the older furs once again went clubbing. Hrrmph, Alfador's a babyfur, and HE gets to go clubbing, but Morphy and I don't... It's no fair! *pout*
But bleh, truthfully, it was a blast hanging out with Morph nonetheless. We made a late night Taco Bell run, did some random stuff, then cuddled in his room for a little while. I ended up falling asleep around 3 or 4am and was awakened by Lex and forced to go out and sleep on the couch! ;-; Actually, it wasn't that bad... I had my very own bed for once and fell asleep again quite soundly. ^__^
We all woke up around 9am on Sunday and, after a lot of groans and morning-crankiness made our way up to Seattle for the last day of Pride 2004. This day had the parade, which was simply awesome! And it ended with more activities at the park. It was so cool to be there in Seattle, that day. There were lots of couples, particularly homosexual couples exhibiting their love in public without fear. It was a wonderful atmosphere, and I would've never been there had it not been for Morphy and Lex and their friends. I was a little depressed at the prospect of going home later that day, and the fact that I was feeling kind of lonely amongst all the couples, but I still had a nigh overwhelming surge of fun there, and I can't wait for next year! Sadly, Slox had his car towed so Alfador came home with us while Grey and the rest took the bus. I spent about two hours getting my stuff together and preparing myself mentally for the trip home. The four days at Lex and Morphy's place were extremely satisfying to me and I am so glad that they were nice enough to put up with me for so long. I left for home sometime in the evening.
The rest of my week consisted of: failing the push-ups and mile run section of the PT test at CAP, finding out that my mother had gotten into my room and thrown away all of my drawings from 2000 to now, spending some time with my mundane but awesome friend Eric, putting some applications in to a few places and buying a cd player for my car. Ah, and turning 19. It was a good, long week. Very adventurous. Bad stuff happened, but the good stuff easily covers all of that up. I've still got my sketchbook, and I reading James Clavell's "Shogun." I honestly feel like I'm alive for the first time in quite a while. I've never before felt curious enough to anxiously wait for the next day to come. It's a great feeling.
