In less than two days I will be back on my native soil and there will be much rejoicing. My flight leaves at 6:30. This would mean I need to leave my hotel at around, hmm, 4am or earlier? this combined with the fact I'll be injured in some way should make it an interested trip.
"But Pete, why are you injured?"
Well, I'm glad you asked. I'm not injured at this point in time. I do foresee an injury (or several) on Friday because the Red Sox play the Rangers in Boston. For those who've been tuned into another station for the past few weeks, I am in Dallas. More importantly, I will be cheering for a triumphant Red Sox victory and an abysmal Rangers loss in a sports bar. I will be the ONLY sox fan there, I can lay money on it. You can use your imagination to fill in the blanks.
Beer, baseball, and black eyes. Ahh, don't you love America? Either way when I get off that plane it will be with smiles. I just hope to see a familiar smiling face at the baggage claim to make it all worth it.
This is how the natives say "I love you." in Texas. Cute, arn't they?
