How many artists can copy Mark Ryden and still consider themselves "original" artists?
Furthermore, how many times can Mark Ryden use Christina Ricci's face without the world losing interest?

In other news: I had my first home grown salad a couple nights ago! Very satisfying. It's a mix of greens, and there's one unidentifiable green in there that I really don't like. It has an anise aftertaste to it. But this stuff grows like a weeds (well, it probably is!), so we could be having homegrown salad possibly twice a week, which is good because I never buy fresh lettuce because I never use it up before it goes bad. It lasts a lot longer when it's still in the ground.

I started up a whole little herb garden in my tiny yard. I used cinder blocks, since they're a lot cheaper than planters. In each cinder block hole, there's a different plant. I've got your basics, plus the lettuce, onions, and some plant (I forget what it's called) that grows reallys sweet leaves that I can dry and use in place of sugar. And the tiny little roma tomato plant I bought a couple months ago grew vigorously to about 3.5 feet tall and has at least (seriously) 20 tomatoes ripening on it. About five are almost ready. The leaves look terribly unhealthy, but the fruit seems to be doing fine. My little lemon tree, which was dormant for two years, has produced 4 ripe lemons (the first two took about four months to ripen!), and has many more growing. They're not all that great... incredibly thick skins. But I'm very proud of my little garden, because my thumbs are far from green. In fact, if they were on a color chart, they'd definitely be red. On top of that, I'm not using pesticides, so keeping the bugs at bay is hit and miss. Spider mites destroyed my mint (as much as mint--the cockroach plat--can be destroyed... I don't even consider it a plant anymore -- it's weed) and my sage in one night. I woke up one day and poof! They were skeletons.

More internet addiction. I just discovered 43 Things (and all of its cousins)... sure to be another time waster. I'm awful at goals, though, so it will probably be a time waster with no positive outcome.
