No sooner said than done - so acts your man of worth.

My antiphon to the field trip can be synopsized in one word: Why?

A fortnight of sleeping outdoors, sharing a tent with two first-years, being forced to ride a large yellow avian creature that cannot even fly, spending three days on a farm, then four days at the beach (not all of us like to tan), followed by four days of games and gambling and other profligate behavior hardly befitting a dignified man. I eagerly anticipate the sojourn at the Icicle Inn, but overall, I can imagine few things that could find me less enthused.

Sometimes I really wonder why I must attend this institution. Surely there must be a more sane prestigious academy my parents could have sent me to...!? I had performed perfectly well at Soledt.

I am really glad Jacques is in my group, or this trip might be unbearable.

Well... There is no use in delaying the inevitable. I'm still not happy about this, though.

I'm all packed. ...It took me a while.

I do suppose that's quite a bit to carry about. Thankfully I need not worry about having to transport a weapon, as I don't carry one.

On another note, ...I feel as though someone has been attempting to photograph me. I'm flattered, though not too surprised.

As for the death that recently occurred on campus, I am not inclined to dishonor the dead, but I will say that if the student concerned had been stronger, this would not have occurred. In meddling with forces that he evidently did not know how to control, he is therefore partially accountable for his own passing, and as such, I cannot help but feel that this is not nearly such a tragedy as it has been made out to be.

That is all.
