Hey there...been a while, eh?

I haven't been posting much lately, and I certainly haven't been saying much about my thesis. Because, you know, if I did, I'd mainly just be whining, and although this is LiveJournal, I'd rather not be that kind of blogger. But I'm going to make an exception for today, and talk about that damn thesis.

Oh, get this -- during my defense, I did get to sit down at the piano and sing/play the beginning of American Pie. I indirectly quoted it in my first movement, and nobody on my committee remembered how it went. But no existence.
