Baby bird
Friday afternoon I went to let the cats out and realized there was a baby robin in the yard. After pushing the cats back in I went to the internets to find out what I should do. Quickly discovered that it was a fledgling and would be find as long as nothing come by to eat it. So all weekend the cats have been grounded and I've been keeping an eye on the little guy. I saw the parents come by and feed him regulary and spied the poos around him from his folks checking on him. I was worried after the 1/4 inch of rain overnight but he must have hunkered under the deck and has enough feathers to see him through. I'm enjoying my guardian duty even though I have to deal with whiney cats all day.
