they say the pain is twice as bad the morning after. . . they're right.
OK, so not much has changed between last nite and right now except that my face is twice as swollen and it hurts twice as bad. i'm having a hard time believing that i got punched over a girl. i've never been hit like that before. still in shock i guess. i had to go into work this morning for meeting. . . you should've seen my boss's face. i thought he was going to completely crack (yes, my face really does look THAT BAD!). and then of course, our district manager was in the store and it was the first time i'd ever met him. what the hell do you say in a situation like that? "hi, i'm mel, you're new store manager. my hobbies include getting into bar fights. . . .?" JESUS!! yeah, so, awesome first impression there. definitely scored some points with him. thankfully the meeting didn't last too long and i was able to get out of there by noon. eating is an interesting and painful endeavor at the moment. i can only open my mouth about half as much as i would normally be able to, and then chewing is just brutal! feel like my jaw's been completely offset. and on that note, i'm going to go ice my face, take a whole lot of painkillers and pass the hell out.
