Amazingly, I had an enormous first today. Today was the first
day my obviously highly opinionated Interpersonal Communications
teacher revealed her true political colors, out in the open. I
know, I know, all college faculty are biased in some way, and outside
of the business school it is overwhelmingly liberal, but I should have
to hear any of it. When I'm in a class, I don't care if I was
lied to about the war in Iraq, nor do I care that John Kerry is soft on
national security. I am there to learn. I am there to be
fed facts, not opinions. This whole American attitude of
questioning what we learn, learning to be critical thinkers, has
created a generation of moronic, opinionated and outspoken students and
professors who feed this whole process by playing "devil's advocate"
and preaching to spark "enlightened discussion." Please. I
need to move to Japan.
