I've been reading Dune for like 4 months now and I'm still not done. Is anyone having the same problem? :(
Today at work me and Mrs. Mary were talking about how there are 2 ways to look at everything. Somehow, we started talking about Sesame Street and I brought up Oscar the Grouch. You know.. the grumpy little dude in that lived in a garbage can... Anyways, so I was saying how that poor guy lived in a garbage can, and everyone else had houses and stuff and never helped him out. They coulda given him food and stuff since he was obviously poor and homeless... So I told her "Maybe it was to indirectly expose little kids to realities of poverty." And she started giving me her outlook on it. She said that it was nice that everyone still talked to him and they were his friend even though 1) he lived in a trash can and 2) he was always grouchy. So her view on it was that you can be friends with people totally different than you or something like that. And then I said how it was weird how we viewed it totally different... and she said "You know, it's kinda like that saying, 'the glass is half full'..." So I said "Yeah. I'd probably say the glass is half empty."
If you over look the fact that that conversation was revolving around Sesame Street, maybe you can something from it. Or maybe it's just me.
And I haven't been working enough to see the cute girl next door at Maggie Moos :( "Say girl.. I got whatchu need"
