Crickets

Despite spending most of my social media time on Facebook and Twitter, it's still sad to come to LiveJournal and see my "Friends" pages totally blank.

I guess if I want to read something, I have to post something. Perhaps one of the letters I've sent to various politicians and a media host, in support of gun rights?

Today's avatar, by the way, is a "perfect", "timed fire", target: 10 consecutive 10's, with a .22 caliber target pistol, fired as "two strings of five shots, each fired in twenty seconds", one-handed, at 50 feet, in an official league match. It was hard to do, and I've only earned three of them in 20 years of competition, which I started because to me, THIS is common sense gun control.

I think that in light of recent events, it's probably worth considering background checks, REMOTELY, before any firearm changes hands to an unknown individual, as well as mandatory reporting, by mental health and education professionals, of any individual they deem to be pose a danger to himself or others.

Feedback is welcome...
