Update

I've got a gorgeous New England vista out my window today, except for the fog, but the colors are amazing.

A local contractor has quoted the final part of my roof, which is more complicated than I can really handle solo. Waiting for his crew to start. Not today, but soon.

The_Metal has been problematic: ugly brake pulsation like a warped brake rotor. Things are a little beyond spec, but no reason it should be this bad. After tires and alignment, I'm going to try the cheap way out: a new rotor. If *that* doesn't fix it, the next step will be close to $1k repair: hub, bearing, and possibly axle. With the labor (and special tools) involved, that step will have to be all-or-nothing. The tire dealer, while performing an "all-wheel-alignment", only *reported* that the rear alignment was out of spec, and did not offer to repair it. Toyota, charming company that they are, made NO provisions for adjusting the rear alignment, and the aftermarket solutions only apply to the FWD Sienna, not my AWD.  I swear I will buy from another manufacturer, once The_Metal is retired.

Looking forward to a bicycle ride and lunch with an old friend tomorrow. The foliage should be spectacular.
