Dynamic Times

My management is transferring my project to a "permanent" employee who wants no part of it (his quote "I'll be drinking tonight"). The last engineer on this project? Quit. They fired the project manager last week. The customer has to wonder WTF? Maybe they'll call me back eventually, but it helps not to get too emotionally attached to the job. It's a coping mechanism. Treat these things like a rodeo bull: hang on, go with the animal, ride it as long as you can, and try not to get hurt when it bucks you off. It's in their nature to behave this way. Just try not to get stomped or gored.

I have other things to do for a month or two. Getting a whole year out of two month assignment was a great opportunity, but the house needs attention. I'm OK with getting some sunshine and fresh air, but I will miss the income.
