A quote has been stuck in my head, or I am stuck in the quote:
"When I kiss you, I can taste your soul" - Carrie Latet
I've stumbled across this quote before. It touched me deeply then, as it touches me deeply now.
Both times, I have searched to see what else Carrie Latet had to say. Nothing in formal print, apparently. A few hands full of quotes on other subjects. Nothing with the same impact as "When I kiss you, I can taste your soul".
I wonder if she created that thought entirely in her own mind, or if after a similar experience, she fixated on the words of Tennyson:
Once he drew
With one long kiss my whole soul thro'
My lips, as sunlight drinketh dew.
Alfred Lord Tennyson
-- and bent them to her will.
As John hovered over Cameron, in the "love" scene of the final episode of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, I wonder what he would have tasted, had he closed the gap and kissed "her".
