I have to admit to what's probably a "man-crush" on Bruce Greenwood. I loved him as the President in "National Treasure 2", but what really choked me up was his line (to "genius level repeat offender" James Tiberius Kirk) in JJ Abrams Star Trek movie: "Your father was Captain of a star-ship for twelve minutes. He save eight hundred lives, including your mother's, and yours. I dare you to do better."
I would follow that man anywhere.

I watched the pilot of "The Cape" last night.
Actually, I watched the first half "live", went to bed, and watched the second half this morning, when I wasn't being nagged to come to bed.
It was pretty good, but I dare the show runners to do better. It's NOT TSCC, but, the thing has potential. It was good to see Summer Glau with a part where she can demonstrate the full range of human emotion. There's lots of fighting with guns and knives, to so the action fans will be retained. The special effects for the computer interfaces are AMAZING. The plot's a bit thin at this point, but there's hope. It wasn't a waste of time.
ETA: I forgot to watch or record The Cape last week, so maybe it WAS a waste of time. A number of reviews on the TSCC wikis ripped it to shreds, with valid criticisms, but I still thought it was entertaining.
I hope the show-runners keep improving it.
