So. I just finished reading Thomas Friedman's Lexus and the Olive Tree, and I'm a little ways into The World Is Flat.
I'm trying to learn more about globalization/global capitalism.
One thing that is very clear from Friedman's writing is that he is very fond of globalization. If this were the end of Sleeping Beauty, globalization would be sweeping him around in ballroom arcs, as Friedman's dress changed slowly from pink to blue and back again.
I still feel like the books are helping me get a sense of how things work, but I'm well aware of those rose-tinted glasses.
Does anyone know of a book that's a good overview on this stuff that is less Disney movie-esque about it?
All suggestions welcome.
