So, there's a really cool website called Reader's Circle that lets you type in your zip code and see what book clubs are in your area. The listings are opt-in only, so only people who actually log in and enter their book club info into the system show up. Nonetheless, it's got a lot of entries, and is pretty handy (so if you've got a book club, or are looking for a book club, check it out).

But as with all systems accessible to the public, there is weirdness. I give you, a legal nonfiction book club:






I bet that anybody who shows up for that thing will be met by an even-tempered woman with no history of mental instability who just really has a hankering to talk about The Federalist Papers.
