I can understand the lack of sympathy, since your own scientific research is devoted to creating a device that will produce that exact state (hanging on the edge). It only made sense that you should have an experience of it yourself, no?

Well, that's one of my goals. But it's not my only goal

I'm working on a program for the Arduino that will keep its victim wearer hanging on the edge, but I don't think the EEG is useful for that--too much noise. Instead, it works simply by randomly shifting the patterns of vibration, with pauses of random length in between.

The EEG project is a bit different. If I can find a brainwave state that corresponds to arousal, I'd like to program a sex toy so that the more aroused you get, the faster the toy runs. It's an application of neurofeedback. You know how folks use neurofeedback and biofeedback devices to learn how to meditate, so that they can become meditative at will? I'd like to see if it's possible to use the same techniques to train someone to be aroused at will.

So you see, I do sometimes use my powers for good!

Does any of your data suggest if there is a difference between being aroused by someone else V.S. a solo situation?

Not that I've found so far. It would be an interesting project, though I don't know that the Neurosky chip would be up for it. If there is a difference, my hunch is that it's subtle, and the Neurosky chip lacks the resolution to pick up on subtle patterns.
