mini con update
My mini con review i guess,
THANK YOU LAURA!!! you are a sweetheart and a savior. She worked with me about my registration because the check that i made to get a table last year was lost. she was so nice. SO FINALLY get there on thursday night. Everyone i knew was downstairs and i ended up upstairs. I was a little disappointed and hoped for the best ^_^ and surprisingly my neighbors are TOTALLY AWSOME!!! i sat next to charasix and these two girls (i can't remember their table off the top of my head) charasix had the best cute art! setting up was relatively easy. Alice was fast to spot and we got our stuff super fast! our friend lauren from Florida came down to hang with us which was totally awsome.
Friday....was a throwaway day. TOTALLY did like 10 dollars or something. i was like OMG i hope this picks up. i talked to my friends downstairs and the ones who were upstairs upstairs said that it's usually like this on friday so i felt a little better. there was mini drama about the layout of the room. for some reason when people put the tables there for the artist alley they put people's tables behind the huge poles!!! like the entire pole covered their table so there had to be some shuffling to be done. Saturday was TOTALLY A LOT BETTER. I did really well and kinda got used to being upstairs. The lights made me a little sleepy which is why i didn't walk around as much. actually i didn't have time to go to the dealer's room at all! oh well. There was more mini drama where the upstairs celining was leaking water. a pipe broke and now there is water all over the place. Kieshar and i was in the cosplay there were lots of cool things and people who won. tho i didn't agree with this one group winning but then again it's IMO i guess. Sunday was great too lots of sales and i'm totally loving the upstairs at this point. i noticed that in the morning the downstairs is a LOT busier. however as soon as the dealer's room close it's super busy upstairs mainly i think because the panels are up there and so is the main event and video rooms etc. downstairs is pretty much dealer room and video rooms. Monday was oddly enough pretty good as far as sales go. i went and art traded with some peole SUPER COOL PEOPLE. i got cake earrings. chara went and got these super cute hairclips! super jealous! ^_^ so all in all it was good i'm just exhausted. SO TIRED!!!
there were drama at the artist alley as usal but i didn't hear anything upstairs. but then again i could just be totally oblivious. and also another thing i figured out was weird was that usually there is something tht always stands out. like badges, or buttons or whatever. however this time everything was pretty much even,not one thing stood out at all!!! the only thing i sold out of early was my posters. but then again i didn't make super lots of prints of the posters because i was just experimenting with them. did this happen to anyone else?
OHOHOH also got a kick ass print from alice! it's america macgee's alice VS disney alice. super cute print. ok i'm done now. i'll write more when i think of it i guess.
OHHHH one more thing. let's not forget aobut the people from good ol Louisana again.....stupid hurricanes....so much police....it's like dejavu.
OH and heather!! OMG SHE LOOKS AMAZING!!!! AMAZING!!!! it's funny cause i reconized her fiancee before her! HHAHAHAHAH KICK BUTT! which reminds me *_* i need to work out....
