Monjas, "nuns" and Twilight stuff
So today I was looking for famous nuns, because on my Spanish class, the teacher gave us some stuff to answer before we get into that subject about nuns (i think maybe because she's going to make us read about Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz and other nun's literature work). So there i was innocently looking for "monjas famosas" on google, when all of a sudden i see a bunch of porn websites that say "naked nuns!" or "naked nuns in bed!" or "nun porn!" and i was like
Haha that was one of the most disturbing things i could ever see. Apparently, holy people turn people on.... eeks.
On a side note, a little while ago I was looking for some "Personas" for my Firefox browser, when I saw some of Twilight. Ok, lemme be honest, A LOT of Twilight "Personas".
(Funny how "personas" means "people" in Spanish... can't help but think of people whenever I see or write this word)
That's when i remembered how many people LOVE the Twilight series, while a lot of other people absolutely HATE IT. I understand that there's a lot of different tastes for different people, but what i don't understand is the fact that people who say they HATE and DESPISE the series, actually bother to make a website to "HATE" it even more. What those people don't realize, is that all the energy fans of this series use up to love Twilight, these people are also as obsessed and but using it in a different way. Negative, but they still give an importance to Twilight. (Personally, i'm simply indifferent to Twilight. It's affecting me in any way. If my friends like them, then i see nothing wrong with it, i simply don't care)
This reminds me of the time a friend of my mother's was telling me, "If someone says that they don't believe in God, they still give and importance to him simply by saying his name. And by saying his name, they are acknowledging the existence of a God, even if they say they don't believe in him." Confusing, i know, but it's something that remained with me for a long time.
So the moral of today, "don't waste your time hating something, use that energy on something more valuable or important for you."
